Andrea Ghez, a person of three recipients of the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physics, is a distinguished Masters swimmer in California.

Ghez was declared this week as the winner of the Nobel Prize for her perform on black holes, particularly the discovery of a single at the centre of the Milky Way galaxy, Sagittarius A*. She shares the award with Reinhard Genzel and Roger Penrose. She’s just the fourth lady to gain a Nobel Prize in physics, becoming a member of Marie Curie (1903), Maria Goeppert Mayer (1963) and Donna Strickland (2018).

“I read the news with a telephone call at 2 in the early morning, so I was quickly asleep,” Ghez said in an interview done with The Nobel Prize’s Adam Smith. “And I believe for the to start with few minutes I thought I was dreaming. I even now simply cannot quite think it.”
